Job description:

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and planning for not-for-profit clients. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax filings, identifying potential tax issues, and providing strategic tax advice. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex Forms 990, 990-PF, and 990-T.
• Advise clients on exempt organization tax issues and reporting requirements.
• Ensure client and internal team compliance with tax regulations and firm standards.
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
• Conduct tax research and communicate findings clearly to clients and team members.
• Train and supervise staff, providing guidance on tax planning and compliance.
• Collaborate with tax partners to deliver high-quality client service.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting; MST or other advanced degree preferred.
• CPA or EA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
• Expertise in 990, 990-PF, and 990-T tax compliance and advisory services.
• Strong knowledge of IRS codes and exempt organization tax matters.
• Experience with tax software (ProSystem fx, Engagement) preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
