Preconstruction Manager Opportunity

A leading construction firm specializing in mixed-income, affordable, supportive, and institutional housing is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team. With a strong presence in the New York metropolitan area since 1979, we have been instrumental in delivering high-quality, sustainable developments that positively impact communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Preconstruction Efforts: Oversee all aspects of the preconstruction phase, including budgeting, scheduling, and organizing project teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop Accurate Estimates: Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) estimates to support project planning and decision-making.

Conduct Constructability Reviews: Assess project designs for feasibility, identifying potential challenges and proposing solutions to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Value Engineering: Lead efforts to identify and implement value engineering opportunities, ensuring optimal balance between cost, quality, and functionality.

Manage Preconstruction Documentation: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all preconstruction materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or estimating roles within the construction industry.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering accurate estimates and maintaining project schedules.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly in the affordable and supportive housing sectors.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
