RESPONSIBILITIES
- This individual will lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers focused on creating high-quality generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and related equipment.
- Will oversee all stages of the electrical design process, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
- Set clear team objectives, manage performance, and foster a collaborative, innovative, and safety-conscious work environment.
- Coordinate team efforts to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
- Oversee the entire design process, from concept development through final design, ensuring alignment with project goals, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Develop and implement project schedules, resource plans, and budget allocations, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving project needs.
- Provide technical guidance and support on the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and integration with mechanical and structural components.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable electrical and safety codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, to address technical challenges and improve design processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance design processes, reduce costs, and improve product performance and reliability.
- Promote and implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries related to design and engineering.
- Work closely with sales and project management teams to understand customer requirements, address concerns, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Present design concepts, project updates, and technical recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial construction or a related
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role, overseeing engineering teams or large projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, power distribution, and control systems, specifically within the context of generator enclosures and fuel tanks.
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar), as well as project management tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, including NEC, NFPA, and UL standards.
- This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional technical expertise in electrical systems and a collaborative approach to managing teams and projects.
