Job description:
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Material Management Specialist to join our premier plastic injection molding facility in beautiful Royalton, Vermont. This employer is 20 minutes North of White River Junction, off 89. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient production flow, inventory control, and scheduling for our complex manufacturing processes.
Hiring for A ShiftThese are 12 hr shifts... 3 days one week, then 4 days the following week. This results in 8 hours of overtime, paid at 1.5!
A Shift = Sun-Tues and every other Wed 6AM-6PM
Key Responsibilities
- Manage material flow to and from the production floor
- Operate and maintain the Motan material handling system
- Coordinate with purchasing for raw material procurement
- Perform inventory control and cycle counts
- Execute shipping and receiving duties as needed
- Ensure proper material drying and setup for uninterrupted production
- Maintain lot traceability and documentation accuracy
- Conduct BOM audits for new production jobs
- Implement and maintain 5S workstations on the production floor
- Place authorized purchase orders for production supplies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in materials planning, scheduling, and logistics
- Strong background in inventory control and cycle counting
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes (preferred)
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (a plus)
