Job description:

Implement long term solutions to recurrent problems beyond the day to day work to reduce downtime in Process units

Ensure that all parts, tools and information are available for planned shutdowns and emergency breakdowns

Provide detailed plans and schedules for shut downs and/or turn arounds

Investigate equipment failures to help identify root cause and implement long-term solution

Direct and schedule the human and material resources to maintain plant operability

Source and coordinate contractors, service providers and vendors as required to complete work and projects

Maintain equipment master file and bills of material and preventive maintenance schedule in the Computer Maintenance Management Systems

Provide safety training to employees and contractors

The incumbent is responsible to maintain 24/7 availability of production equipment and facilities to make sure that all employees work safely and as efficiently as possible. Will indirectly supervise a group of 20 and fill in for maintenance manager in their absence.

Qualifications:

A.S./B.S. degree preferred. Engineeringbackground a plus.Extensive related experience considered in lieu of degree.
5+ years experience in Industrial Maintenance and supervision.
General knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). JDE a plus
Strong ability to estimate, plan, schedule, and complete work orders and projects
Ability to efficiently manage contractors, service suppliers, and vendors to accomplish business objectives
Supervisory experience in a unionized plant environment is a plus
Good understanding of the hazards of materials such as natural gas, industrial solvents, lubricants, as well as the need for protection of the environment and basic knowledge of permit requirements
Conceptual understanding of Good Manufacturing practices and Management of Change
Must have a strong commitment to safety
