Associate Scientist, Antibody Research
Responsibilities:
- Design and construct expression vectors for recombinant antibody production.
- Sequence and analyze cloned genes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Optimize transfection protocols to achieve high expression levels of antibodies.
- Purify and characterize recombinant antibodies, and conduct computational work including DNAseq.
- Prepare and present experimental findings to team and management.
- Troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals.
Essential qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Essential experience:
- 4+ years of experience in a molecular biology lab with a strong focus on plasmid construction, DNA cloning, and DNA sequence analysis.
- Hands-on experience in molecular cloning, cell culture, and protein purification.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, and Western blotting.
- Familiarity with recombinant antibody production and characterization.
