Our client needs a dynamic, career-oriented Machining Supervisor to lead their 3rd Shift Machine Shop. You will have 15 reports. This is an excellent company, that is an essential critical infrastructure manufacturer for heavy industry, defense, aerospace, and energy generation. You will report to the Machine Shop Manager.
What you will be doing:
- You will supervise 15 machinists in the production of large components using CNC mills and lathes.
- Be a hands-on leader, mentor, and coach to direct and more fully develop your team.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Interface with engineering, production control, and quality to ensure production flow.
What they are looking for:
- At least 3 years of CNC machining experience and at least some relevant coursework to supplement your hands-on experience.
- Knowledge of the various types of CNC and manual machines.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Supervisor / Leader.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize work in a rapidly changing work environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, math, computer and analytical skills.
