Compliance Supervisor
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensures safe working environment for plant personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Works with team members to develop, maintain and promote a proactive, action-oriented safety culture.
• Drives employee engagement and commitment to continuous NERC program improvement.
• Overall accountability for the implementation of the NERC Internal Compliance Plan.
• Annual review and update of site-specific NERC compliance procedures.
• Develops, coordinates, and implements NERC compliance programs and plans consistent with corporate policy and management system, ensuring compliance with permit and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares or oversees the preparation of all NERC reports and notifications.
• Conducts assessments to assure continuing compliance with site NERC requirements. Develops and manages action plans to address identified issues.
• Provides primary site interface with regulators, including preparing for and coordinating inspections, responding to information requests, and enforcement actions.
• Provides NERC training to site personnel and maintains training records.
• Maintains NERC records in accordance with internal guidance and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates NERC contractors and testing teams.
Education/Experience Required
• Minimum three years’ experience in a power plant or power-related industry
• A working familiarity with NERC rules and regulations is desirable, as is experience with electrical relay maintenance, IT security and regulatory reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret governmental agency standards and communicate the requirements to plant personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and prepare written and oral communications; to perform mathematical calculations; and to present facts, conclusions and recommendations in written and oral communications.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
