As our biotech client is hiring for their Protein Sciences group, we are seeking an outstanding Sr Scientist with VLP experience to design plasmids, create constructs, assist with scale up, and transfer protocols. 

 

Principal Scientist, Protein Purification

Key Responsibilities:

 

1.    Lead VLP protein purification efforts, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
2.    Design and execute purification protocols for recombinant proteins.
3.    Supervise and mentor junior lab personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
4.    Adapt and implement new purification technologies and methodologies to enhance lab capabilities.

 

Essential Qualifications: 

• PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting data and collaborating across teams.

 

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of postdoctoral experience in a biochemistry lab.
• VLP expertise.
• Plasmid design and construction, and protein purification.
• Candidates with experience from academic, government, or industry labs are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in various protein purification techniques and familiarity with analytical methods for protein characterization.
