Non-automotive, growing manufacturer is seeking an Assistant Injection Molding Manager to join their operations team. As the Assistant Injection Molding Manager, you will be part of a leadership team that works closely and collaboratively. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Focus on daily start up and troubleshooting of multiple injection molding machines
- Oversee trial runs of new parts
- Troubleshoot the injection molding process focused on eliminating downtime, reducing scrap and improving efficiencies
- Focus on ensuring that critical injection molding jobs run smoothly
- Complete robotics and mechanical troubleshooting
- Oversee the repair of tooling, including working with tool shops
- Assist with the review of tooling design and manufacturability
- Order supplies for presses and mold repair
- Complete documentation within the ERP system related to schedule changes
- Participate in morning meetings and be part of the site leadership team
- Other duties as directed by management
This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the production floor up to 90% of their day. Candidates should enjoy working within a team environment, supporting the manufacturing floor to eliminate downtime and improve efficiencies, completing multiple projects at a time and be able to take initiative.

REQUIREMENTS for the Assistant Injection Molding Manager:
1. Minimum or a high school diploma; a degree is preferred
2. Depending on education, at least five years in a similar injection molding position
3. Expert level experience troubleshooting injection molding processes
4. Hydraulic troubleshooting experience
5. Basic electrical troubleshooting
6. Continuous improvement experience, including scrap reductions, increasing efficiencies, etc.
7. Microsoft Office experience
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. RJG Certification
2. Robotics and/or PLC experience
3. Automotive supplier or fast-paced manufacturing experience
4. Tooling experience
5. ERP experience
