- Facilitate the development of turnaround and capital work scopes throughout the refinery through data gathering by utilizing technical resources, inspections, engineering, reliability, OED, etc.
- Ensure most qualified and most cost effective service providers (specialty contractors) are procured for execution of work assigned.
- Develop work breakdown structures to facilitate cost analysis, cost tracking and re-forecasting of turnaround and capital projects budget
- Analyze and supply logic to planned work steps for critical path analysis of projects to maximize schedule and minimize manpower/cost
- Assist in the development of yearly turnaround and capital construction spending budget
- Supervise/train/coach other planners/foreman to ensure successful projects.
- Interface with purchasing department on procurement of goods and services to ensure quality contractors and timely delivery of materials needed
- Develop and assemble management documents for communication of safety, project status relative to cost, schedule compliance and manpower utilization
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years craft or industrial maintenance in a refining environment
OR
Bachelors degree in Construction Management plus 2 years experience as a Planner or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years craft or industrial maintenance in a refining environment
OR
Bachelors degree in Construction Management plus 8 years experience as a Planner or equivalent
