We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Maintenance Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our machines and facilities through effective maintenance practices. As a Maintenance Technician, you will primarily coordinate outside services or oversee staff, working with enthusiasm and professionalism to uphold the highest standards of maintenance excellence.

Responsibilities and Authority:

As a Maintenance Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

I. Needed reactive maintenance on any equipment as requested:

• Responding promptly to any reactive maintenance requests for equipment, addressing and resolving issues efficiently.

II. Preventive Maintenance: A

• Developing and maintaining a detailed schedule for preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of our equipment and facilities.  Ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of preventive maintenance
• Implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance procedures to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.  Development of and training of personnel in preventive maintenance
• Training and guiding personnel on preventive maintenance procedures, enabling them to perform tasks competently and contribute to our maintenance objectives.  Maintaining parts (maintenance) inventory
• Managing and organizing an inventory of maintenance parts required for preventive maintenance activities, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

III. Coordinating with outside maintenance services (production equipment and facilities), as needed: 

• Acting as the main point of contact for coordinating with outside maintenance services, fostering effective communication and rapport.  Maintaining service records
• Documenting and organizing service records to keep a comprehensive overview of maintenance activities performed by external providers. Assisting in cost estimation
• Collaborating in estimating the costs of maintenance services, helping to ensure budgetary compliance.  Ensuring supervision and approval of work
• Supervising and overseeing the work carried out by outside maintenance services, ensuring that all tasks align with our quality and safety standards.

IV. Facilities maintenance deemed necessary:

• Evaluating and addressing any necessary maintenance requirements related to our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

V. Any equipment/accessory modifications to enhance productivity, eliminate problems:

• Identifying opportunities for equipment and accessory modifications that can optimize productivity, enhance efficiency, and eliminate potential issues.

VI. Assuring proper installation of new equipment:

• Taking responsibility for the proper installation and integration of new equipment to ensure seamless operations.

VII. Supervising and training of support staff:

• Providing leadership, guidance, and ongoing training to support staff involved in machine and facilities maintenance, fostering their professional growth and promoting a collaborative work environment.

VIII. Safety Leader - responsible for maintaining proper safety of equipment, infrastructure, and use:

• Exercising a proactive approach to safety, taking the lead role in maintaining the proper safety standards for our equipment, infrastructure, and their usage.

IX. Completion of any assigned special projects:

• Successfully undertaking and completing any special projects assigned within the scope of machine and facilities maintenance, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
