This full time, permanent Electrical Engineering Building Construction Design Manager opening is at a growing, employee-owned electrical and automation product company. The department is expected to double in size in the next five years. AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Revit are used by the department. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:
- Overseeing and growing a small department of drafters and designers
- Creating new department policies and procedures to help manage the department growth
- Impacting the growth of the company
- Communicating with a variety of employees, vendors and customers
- Training and motivating
- Handling budget responsibilities
- Creating and presenting proposals
- Reviewing engineering designs for electrical construction projects
The background of the successful candidate must include one of the following:
- A four year electrical engineering degree and four years of experience as an electrical engineer - or-
- A licensed Master Electrician or a Journeyman Electrician with 15 years of field electrician experience -or-
- A two year electrical engineering degree, three years of electrical engineering experience and either a licensed Master Electrician or a Journeyman Electrician status
The background of the successful candidate must also include all of the following:
- Two years of experience performing building electrical design
- A solid work history
- A US citizen or possess a green card
- A residence within 45 minutes
